## Summary

Renu Contracting Restoration is a full-service general contracting, disaster restoration, and energy solutions firm that evolved from a family-owned flooring business founded in 1959 [1][2]. Principals Michael VanDenburg and Scott Colletti lead the company [1][2]. It provides reconstruction, remodeling, and emergency site services to commercial clients, including schools, healthcare facilities, and municipal government agencies [1][3][4]. Recent news includes controversy in early 2026, when local union leaders and Democratic officials criticized Suffolk County for terminating a long-standing contract with a unionized firm to award the work to Renu, citing political connections and potential labor law violations [5].
