## Summary

Kouign Amann Berrou is a French food manufacturer based in Goulven that specializes in traditional Breton pastries, including its signature kouign-amann, Breton cakes, and galettes des rois [1][2][3]. Founded in 1975, the company has been a subsidiary of the Buton Group since 1998 [2][4]. The company sells to individual consumers via its factory shop and online store, and to large retail distributors under both its own brand and private labels [5][6][4]. While it operates as a specialized manufacturer, its competitors include other regional producers of Breton biscuits and pastries [6][4]. Recent developments include the success of its innovative, snackable product Ty Crousti and an expansion into frozen goods to reach new markets [5][6].
